I’m just finishing this book and highly recommend it. The author did research on forest plant relationships over decades. She discovered (or rediscovered, she gives credit to the knowledge of indigenous people) how the various trees and other plants in the forest are in complex interrelationships. They communicate and share resources through extensive fungal networks. I found it fascinating and it totally makes sense. Ours is not the only kind of intelligence.
I loved this book – read every word. She is now a beacon of mine!
Jackie recommended An Immense World which I gave to everyone for Christmas and am reading. I love it – kind of mind-blowing, funny, profound â rattles our sense of specialness as humans – if we havenât already let go of that illusion.
