Yesterday I had the opportunity to read at the Pages and P.J.s event at Santa Cruz Gardens elementary school. It’s an evening event where children and families come in their pajamas to hear authors and others read. I’d read in a couple of these events a few years ago.
It was wonderful to be able to read to children again after the last couple of years of pandemic caution. The event was held outdoors in an amphitheater to decrease risks. I read from Toto’s Tale and True Chronicle of Oz because the children were younger (Kindergarten through fifth grade) but I also took The Weaver’s Daughter and sold a few copies of each. I’m happy to get more books into the hands of children.

Wonderful!
