The Santa Cruz Natural History Museum sponsored a trip to Costa Rica over the New Year’s holiday. Scholastic Expeditions put together and led the trip, a first for them with adult travelers. Sadly, only four of us went. Besides me there were my thirteen year old grand daughter Kendra (who took the beautiful photo above of a baby hummingbird), and Alice and Rosemary from Watsonville. I’ll be writing and posting photos as time allows in the next week. It was my first time in Costa Rica and I was impressed with the wonderful people we met everywhere and the abundant life.
Such a beautiful photo!
