If you’re in the area, don’t miss the Santa Cruz Peace Chorale concert, “We’re Still Here!” It’s the 14th annual spring concert and silent auction on Saturday, May 14th at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 2402 Cabrillo College Drive, Soquel.
Under the musical direction of singer/songwriter Aileen Vance, the Santa Cruz Peace Chorale sings traditional & contemporary songs of peace and justice. This year’s program celebrates the continuing legacy of world-wide social activism. The chorale has been called a community treasure and was honored by folk icon Pete Seeger’s personal contributions to its repertoire.
The silent auction begins at 7:00 pm. Come early to bid on local art, fine wines, gift certificates, crafts, services, and more. The concert begins at 7:30. From labor anthems to elegant hymns, classic folk songs to traditional South African four-part harmony, there’s sure to be cause for singing along! Stay for more bidding and refreshments after the music.
Requested donation of $15.00 at the door. No one will be turned away due to finances.
