Sorry for the long break in posts. The holidays have been quite busy.
I just got word that Aviva Institute, the online midwifery school for which I teach, has reorganized as Aviva College with a new executive team and beautiful new website. Aviva College will continue Aviva Institute’s legacy of providing post secondary education and bachelor degrees to students aspiring to be midwives as well as certification programs to birth professionals such as doulas and lactation consultants.
The new team is going to actively work toward accreditation by 2013 and making financial aid options available to students. Some new faculty members have also signed on to join the already amazing team of qualified birth professionals who teach at Aviva.
Please take a look at the new website. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in a career as a birth professional but is unable to go away to school for several years, Aviva could be the perfect answer.
